Hook Real Estate was established in 1953 by George M. Hook, Jr., a former state representative. Mr. Hook continued to do business until his death in 2001, at which time David “Sam” and Beverly Cropper continued to manage the office through his estate. Sam had obtained his real estate license in 1978 and joined Hook Real Estate at that time. In 1987, he obtained his broker’s license and became sales manager for Hook Real Estate. Beverly obtained her real estate license in 1979 and eventually played a major role in assisting in Sam’s transactions until he retired from teaching high school mathematics in 1994.

At the time of Mr. Hook’s death, Sam and Beverly had worked for his real estate office for over twenty years. They were happy to continue managing the business for over three years until they were able to purchase the business on June 15, 2005. This business purchase was a very exciting time, since they had envisioned implementing various changes, which they had contemplated for many years. Now that we are in a position to make these changes, we hope to better serve the public with our experience and expertise.

We have been very fortunate in real estate to have many clients who have worked with us numerous times over a period of years. A big part of our success in real estate comes from referrals. Former satisfied clients have referred many new prospects to us. We look forward to meeting additional clients and making new friends in the future.
